- NHS Direct can give you medical information 24 hours a day. They will advise on anything from how to get emergency contraception, to where to find a pharmacist or where to go for emergency dental treatment. You can also find routine health and advice for you and your family on the NHS Direct online website.
- Remember: If you or a member of your family believes you are critically ill and need medical help immediately, telephone 999 and ask for an ambulance.
- You should always call an ambulance for any of the following:
- Chest pains
- Unconsciousness
- Fitting
- Bleeding profusely
- Severe breathing difficulties
