When the Surgery is Closed

If you need medical assistance after the surgery has closed please call the appropriate number as follows : 

Medical Emergencies

• If you have an emergency during the weekdays between 8.00am to 8.30am and 6.00pm to 6.30pm - please ring (01934) 732024
• If your emergency occurs Out of Hours between 6.30pm to 8.00am, and/or during all day Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays - please ring the Out of Hours Medical Service on 0870 240 6334.

Routine Medical Enquiries

• Call NHS Direct on 0845 46 47
• NHS Direct can give you medical information 24 hours a day. They will advise on anything from how to get emergency contraception, to where to find a pharmacist or where to go for emergency dental treatment. You can also find routine health and advice for you and your family on the NHS Direct online website.
• Remember: If you or a member of your family believes you are critically ill and need medical help immediately, telephone 999 and ask for an ambulance.
• You should  always call an ambulance for any of the following:
  • Chest pains
  • Unconsciousness
  • Fitting
  • Bleeding profusely
  • Severe breathing difficulties

Please note: In the event that any of the out of hours numbers has been changed, please telephone your usual surgery number where a recorded message will give you the most up-to-date information.
