Travel Vaccines

If you are planning to travel abroad you may require a vaccination. Please ask to discuss your needs with one of our practice nurses as soon as you know your travel plans. Ideally this should be at least eight weeks before you travel as some immunisation schedules have to be spread over a number of weeks.

We would suggest that patients check the 'Fit for Travel' website prior to booking an appointment to check vaccination requirements.

Please note that some vaccines are subject to a private charge; again, our practice nurse will be able to advise you on this.

If you have to travel at very short notice and require a vaccination, it may not be possible for the nurse to see you in time, in which case we may suggest that you arrange to have your vaccination at a private travel clinic.

Speak to our reception staff who will be able to assist you in this regard.
